Do You have a Story to tell? Accelerate Filmmaker Project 2017 launches

Accelerate is the online platform where the young and aspiring ‘blown’ kids go to be entertained, educated, and empowered. It’s while we were on that wave length of empowering and educating that we came up with the Accelerate Film Maker Project!

In partnership with the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF),  Accelerate is going to discover the next set of young and dynamic film makers from all over Nigeria! Here’s how it’ll work- between now and July 2017:

- 50 filmmakers between the ages of 18 – 28 to be selected. The top 50 will be given a short film-making task and the winners of that challenge will be shortlisted as one of our 15 contestants.

-Accelerate will train and tutor the 15 contestants for 1 week through a series of workshops covering the different fields of film making

-5 filmmakers will then be selected and given a chance to make a short film that will debut at AFRIFF.  To guide them, each filmmaker will be given one of Nollywood’s movers and shakers as a mentor.

-  Acceleratr will provide each of the film makers with resources and equipment to make their short film (10 – 15 mins) within 2 – 3 days.

-The finished films will be puahed to some of the best film festivals around the world and ensure each film is promoted in collaboration with our partners AFRIFF.
