NURTURE IT, IT WILL COME
Each time u awake with a distant look
upon the reality of a new day which makes you wonders ‘what does the day
holds?’
The tears well up as you sit up and
brush your hands through your hair and asked yourself ‘where do I start from
today again?’
You count failed jobs that have brought
you to this state and lament ‘where did I go wrong?’
You are seated to analyze your skills
over and over again and question the unknown ‘to what avail?’
You check your wallet and cannot boast
of 100naira which makes you deep in thought ‘who do I borrow from today again?
You begin to analyze friends, their
success and fail not to remember the dullard you bullied most in your school
days who now is a C.E.O of his own company and you scream ‘who have I
offended?’
You put the last grain of garri in
front of you and finally the tears could not be controlled any more as you question
God ‘will I ever make it in life?’
Families sneer at your back and count you rather unserious,
lazy and wasting away with no major achievement ‘despite gbogbo Cambridge, they
will say’.
A fact we fail to understand is that humans are seeds. The
difference between a fruit seed and a human seed is the ability of human to interrelate.
As a seed, the following process must be undertaken,
PLANTING STAGE
A farmer who takes a seed to plant would have known the
necessary precautions to take for it to germinate. He decides from the best
type of soil to the nurturing factors like water and sunlight.
You were planted in the womb of your mum to feel the warmth
of love and just like the farmer; your mother had to go through the necessary
steps of nutrition to make you survive the first stage of being human. She
could have been careless with your existence through abortion, miscarriage, drugs
etc. Just as a farmer persist on the
growth of his seed; a mother nurtures her seed to give it life as it has been
premeditated of her.
The first step and gift of attaining a greater height in
life is to be alive.
No matter the despair never give up on being alive.
To who has been given the gift of life, there is a purpose.
Let this statement be a striving force for you to hold on to.
GERMINATING STAGE
With every precaution taken at the right time, the seed
begins to grow out of the soil and it’s no longer a seed but a plant; this
stage brings happiness to the farmer. An happiness that never fails to overwhelm
your parents as they watch you come into the world known as a child; to your
feeding moments; your Oliver twist cries for more; your first sickness ; your
first steps to more human activities and yeah! You are a year older.
As a life grows so does its destiny gets awaken. The very
moment you had been planted in the womb your destiny has been bestowed.
Every soul has a destiny to fulfill and this is known as HOPE…an anticipation for the time of
the unknown to be actualized.
Just as the statement goes ‘when there is life ,there is
hope’ meaning ‘when there is life, there is a destiny to be fulfilled’.
No matter your trials, you have a fulfillment to actualize in
life thus you must be strong and be persistence.
GOING THROUGH THE SEASON STAGE
The season of a plant begins as it goes through day, night, rainfall,
dry season, drought etc. The season of a child begins the very moment he is
left with a babysitter who leaves him to cry for hours and pretends to be
lovable in the presence of the parents, the childhood moments in kindergarten
class to the final primary level; the test of attaining manhood in Secondary School
level to the days of adventure in Higher Institution till the final day your
cap is lifted after servicing your country as a Corp member.
In this season however, there is still a shield you lean on to.
A shield to the plant in this season is the farmer who fails not to keep the
surroundings intact for the plant to pass through the seasons without withering,
your shield as human could either be your parents or a family member who fails
never to be there to help mentally, financially n materially etc.
These years are the beginning of the good, the bad and the
ugly in your life but which you still count as escapade.
These are days that prepare you for the greater hurdles of
life ahead of you.
PRODUCTION STAGE
This is the stage reality dawns…
At this stage the farmer expects the plants to produce so there
could be manifestation of harvest in his vineyard, any alter to this outcome
will bring irrational decision from the farmer concerning the plants either to
be cut or burn.
In the human realm, this is the stage you are been expected
to get to be on your feet and start to make the right decision concerning jobs,
life, friends, girlfriend, health etc.
This fact brings about the attitude of your parents when you
wake up one morning and you are been cut off from daily allowance and benefits
so you could bring the manifestation of harvest in their lives.
It all starts to get wrong when the job fails to come and
the days get longer than usual.
All the parents or any family member do at this stage is understand since you
cannot be cut off like plants however that level of their understanding does
not keep away insults, anger, sneer etc.
Friends that are always there begin to move away with
excuses.
This stage is presumed to be your fruit bearing stage but
really this stage is about you.
These are the seasons that mould you into what you will be.
It is a point in your life you determine who really you want
to be;

A man that let go on each point of failure and
finally gives up on life
Or
·
A man that counts failure as a stepping stone to
his dreams and never gives up.
In life, never fail to understand
·
You are a unique being.
·
There is a purpose for your existence which you
must be alive to fulfill.
·
Your destiny is yours to behold and not meant
for any other (talents, skills etc. might be the same but never executed the
same way; despite the singing abilities of all musicians, each is known with his
rhythm).
·
Look inward and reckon yourself with what you
wish to be and pursue it.
·
Believe in yourself.
·
Never give up taking a new step each time you
fail.
·
The
disappointments etc. are grasses you
must certainly pass through to find your path, it is a stepping stone so keep
moving.
THOU THE DAYS MIGHT BE LONG;
THOU THE HEART MIGHT GROW WEARY;
THOU THE TEARS MIGHT LINGER;
THOU IT SEEMS YOUR PRAYERS ARE NEVER ANSWERED;
HE WILL NEVER FAIL YOU;
FOR YOUR WAYS ARE NOT HIS WAYS;
THOU HE MIGHT TARRY;
HE IS ALWAYS ON TIME TO LIFT HIS OWN;
GOD IS FAITHFUL.
